Our rates reflect what kind of gathering you're hosting. If your event lifts up the same communities we do, you pay less — and we use the rest to keep the space accessible.
Birthdays, book clubs, baby showers, workshops, small launches — the everyday gatherings that make a neighborhood feel like one.
For queer, trans, and BIPOC-led gatherings, women / nonbinary / femme-led, and nonprofit & community organizing. Mutual aid, healing work, movement-building.
OSB members get two free event rentals per year, then 25% off any rentals after that. Plus first dibs on prime weekend dates. Just one of the perks of being part of the space.
2-hour minimum on all bookings. Rates include setup & teardown time. If cost is still a barrier for a mission-aligned gathering, talk to us — we'd rather make it work than turn you away.

A 50% deposit holds your date. The rest is due the week of your event.
We'll be there to let you in, walk you through the space, and help with setup. Then it's all yours.
A 50% deposit holds your date, with the balance due one week before your event. We also ask for a refundable $100 cleaning/damage deposit, returned within a week after if the space is left in good shape. Full refund if you cancel 14+ days out.
Bring your own food and drinks — totally welcome. Alcohol is bring-your-own only (no selling), and hosts are responsible for their guests and for following the law.
Events are capped at 30 people and wrap up by 10 PM. For most events we ask hosts to carry simple one-day event liability insurance naming Our Space Berkeley — we'll walk you through it when you inquire.
We welcome organizing and community gatherings, and we host political and campaign events on a strictly neutral, equal-access basis — open to all on the same terms. We don't host political fundraisers and we don't endorse any candidate.
